Single Loop Pearl Tutorial
Single Loop Pearl tutorial
Materials
Take one pearl and the gold wire from your kit.
Tools
Take your pliers and thimble from the kit.
Step 1
Use your pliers to cut a piece of wire about 6 cm long.
Step 2
Thread the pearl onto the wire, leaving 1–1.5 cm of wire sticking out from one end.
Step 2
Bend the wire so it forms a right angle to the pearl.
Step 3
Twist the wire until it forms a swirl shape at the base of the pearl.
Step 4
Use the pliers to finish the swirl and tuck the wire into the pearl so no ends are sticking out.
Step 5
Your pearl should now look like this.
Step 6
Hold the wire with your pliers just above the top of the pearl, leaving about 2 mm of wire between the pliers and the pearl. Loop the wire over the tip of the pliers, then bring it back across the section between the pearl and pliers.
Step 7
Wrap the wire around the section between the pearl and pliers twice. If the space between the pearl and wire is larger, wrap an extra time to close the gap.
Step 8
Use your pliers to cut the wire as close to the wraps as possible, leaving minimal wire sticking out.
Step 9
Your pearl should now look like this
Step 10
Use your pliers to tuck in the small piece of wire that is sticking out.
